ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN

Police vs. Fire. United for Maui Families Facing Cancer.

More Than a Game.
A Community Tradition.

For more than a decade, Maui Police Department, Maui Fire Department, Pacific Cancer Foundation, local businesses, and our community have come together for one shared purpose: supporting Maui County families facing cancer.

Battle of the Badges is an annual campaign built on friendly competition, community pride, and the belief that together, we can make a lasting difference.

Celebrating 11 Years of Community Impact

What began as Pacific Cancer Foundation's Go Pink Campaign has grown into one of Maui's most meaningful community traditions.

For ten years, Maui Police Department and Maui Fire Department proudly wore pink throughout October to raise awareness and funds for local families facing cancer. Along the way, the annual Battle of the Badges Softball Game became a favorite community event, bringing friendly competition and hometown spirit to the cause.

Today, Battle of the Badges brings these traditions together under one campaign, honoring its history while creating an exciting future. Although the name has evolved, the mission remains the same: bringing our community together to support Maui County families facing cancer.

How the Campaign Works

Battle of the Badges is more than a single event. It's a two-month community fundraising campaign that gives everyone an opportunity to get involved.

CAMPAIGN
FINALE

Celebrate the impact we've made together and recognize our top teams, fundraisers, sponsors, and community supporters.

An emblem resembling a combined police and firefighter badge, with a pink ribbon in the center, a star on the left side, and a flame on the right side. The emblem is half navy blue and half yellow color.

One Community. Two Teams. One Mission.

Throughout the campaign, Team Police and Team Fire compete to see who can raise the most support for Pacific Cancer Foundation.

But while there's a winner on the scoreboard, the real victory belongs to our community.

Every dollar raised helps Pacific Cancer Foundation continue providing free programs and services for Maui County families facing cancer. At the end of the campaign, everyone wins.

WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

No matter how you choose to participate, you're helping ensure that local individuals and families facing cancer have access to the compassionate care and practical support they need.
